Union dues are on an income-based sliding scale:
Minimum dues for full-time employees -- $15/month
$30,000 - $50,000 annual gross -- $20/month
$50,000 - $60,000 annual gross -- $25/month
$60,000 - $100,000 annual gross -- $30/month
More than $100,000 gross -- $50/month
Part-time employees, graduate students/Undergraduates, and retirees -- $8/month
Community supporters -- $8/month

Why UCW is a dues based organization!
Our universities have a lot of resources (whatever they may suggest to the contrary). We need resources of our own to win improvements in our working conditions. By pooling our own resources, we build power that allows us to function independently—not only from the university, but also from the legislature and any other entity that may not always have workers' interests at heart.
Our dues fund the salaries of our full-time organizers, the fliers and swag we give away at events, trainings for our members, and basically everything else we do!
